Librarians are Indispensable
Librarians are Indispensable I find that I see everything in my LIBE courses in relation to Senior-English classes. I know that this is natural, in that I am a Senior-English teacher, but I do try to look at things from both other-subject-matter teachers’, and the teacher librarian’s (TL) points of view. From literaryhoots.com I work closely with our TL and I know that other teachers in our school do as well. She helps plan our assignments, team teaches with us, and helps us find texts to help with our curriculum. She also does numerous jobs that help our students. From recommending to ordering books that the students want to read, to helping them learn research skills, or just making them feel welcome in a safe space; her diversity and participation in our school is tremendously important.
